Awhile back I wrote about the Jackson Pollock flash site. Today I stumbled upon the the Jackson Pollock iPhone app version. For only 99 cents you can get crazy with the paint right on your iPhone. The quality isn’t nearly as nice as the flash site, but it’s still pretty damn fun.

Paintings

Colorful, beautiful, alive…obviously different from the B&Ws. It’s strange too, I remember visiting Jack his freshman year at U of I and noticing paintings in his room. I asked him Who’s paintings? Mine, he said…Oh so now you’re a fucking painter too, huh? I said. I said this sarcastically, of course. But I remember how surprised I was at his painting skills. In fact, I believe soon after our above conversation he painted a “homework assignment” while I sat on the couch drinking beer playing Nintendo. Enjoi.

I haven’t posted much of anything for awhile. I’ve got tons of things I would like to write about, just ain’t got no time.

You see, I moved on Xmas eve and that event alone, along with the many many Xmas festivities going on, made things a little crazy/hectic.

And my car got hit while I was in Fred Meyers for five minutes (and no note).

And I dropped my iPhone in the toilet.

Yup, these last couple weeks have been rough. Anyway, many more posts coming soon.

The Rules of the game are such: in order to recieve said beer, you must dress up in a patriotic way, as a patriotic symbol, person, or as an anti-patriotic symbol or person. Really, anything goes as long as it has something vaguely resembling patriotism. Points are awarded for creativity, and a prize will be awared to the best dressed.

Photo of the Week – “Dobby”

This is “Dobby.” I believe most people know who Dobby is, but for the few of you who’ve never picked up a Harry Potter book or seen one of the movies, Dobby is the magical house-elf that makes many appearances throughout the Potter series.

So I named the photo “Dobby” because I can’t help but think about the elf when I look at this photo (although I didn’t make the connection when taking the picture).

I’ve read all the HP books and enjoyed them immensely, especially the books 5-7. If you haven’t given them a shot, you should.
