The Bottomless Belly Button

Well, what can I say? I needed something to fill my mind & time, so why not read a 720 page comic book about a fucked up family (the appropriately named Loony family). The book title is rad, as is the cover art:

So this is my current read, and it’s really really good.

Last night finished Vonnegut’s…

A Man Without a Country.
I finished my first Kurt Vonnegut book. It’s been long overdue and I’ve always been a little ashamed about never having read any Vonnegut. I’ve only skimmed through excerpts & interviews in magazines or through the web.
So I read A Man Without a Country.
Vonnegut’s final publication, and unlike most of his [...]

Today, Tomorrow, and the next

Things are crazy. Moving is crazy. Dropping your iPhone in the toilet is crazy. And stupid. And depressing. Don’t do it. But the craziness is over for the time being, and I’m glad about that (for once). Tomorrow I’m hoping to catch a movie. A love a good flick. Right now I’m reading Geek Love, [...]

A Finished Curiosity…and what else is Happening

Anyways, tonight I [...]

The Curious Case…

of Benjamin Button.
It’s what I am reading right. Like, right now. I’m on page 10 and continue to switch back & forth between the story and writing this blog. The edition I’m reading is shown in the picture and yes, it does have illustrations, and yes, the illustrations had a strong impact on my [...]

Photo of the Week – “Dobby”

This is “Dobby.” I believe most people know who Dobby is, but for the few of you who’ve never picked up a Harry Potter book or seen one of the movies, Dobby is the magical house-elf that makes many appearances throughout the Potter series.
So I named the photo “Dobby” because I can’t help but think [...]

Long live FLETCH…and the GM

My top three comedy movies are This is Spinal Tap, The Big Lebowski and…
Fletch.
Unfortunately, there’s nothing comedic about the passing of Gregory Mcdonald, the author of the best-selling “Fletch” novels and creator of the hilarious Irwin M. Fletcher. He died on Sept. 7th at the age of 71 after a lengthy battle with cancer.
The movies [...]
