Colorful, beautiful, alive…obviously different from the B&Ws. It’s strange too, I remember visiting Jack his freshman year at U of I and noticing paintings in his room. I asked him Who’s paintings? Mine, he said…Oh so now you’re a fucking painter too, huh? I said. I said this sarcastically, of course. But I remember how surprised I was at his painting skills. In fact, I believe soon after our above conversation he painted a “homework assignment” while I sat on the couch drinking beer playing Nintendo. Enjoi.
