Today’s discovery…
Today I scrolled through Time’s 25 Best Blogs 2009, feeling skeptical about finding anything worthy of my “reading time.” I bookmarked a few sites, but found one possible gem.
Said the Gramophone, a blog dedicated to bringing the world good songs, one day at a time. Three Canadian music lovers post just one song everyday and well, there’s not much to it….you go to the blog and listen, and download the song if you deem it necessary.
I’m always quick on the draw when it comes to sites/blogs/apps/etc. I often give it one chance and a quick one at that and if it catches my attention that’s lovely, if not adios compadre. I listened to today’s song and was blown away. It was bizarre and beautiful, and now I’m committed to the Gramophone.
By the way, the song I heard was “Are You Devo? (The Spirituals remix)” by Shelby Sifers. Give it a try, and give Gramophone a try.
