Photo of the Week – “TICA”

Today’s Photo of the Week it titled “TICA” and it used to be one of my favorite photos. It can no longer be one of my favorite photos because I’ve discovered certain details about this dog that prove this so called canine is really a fraud.

The dog’s name is Tica. She is owned by Brad aka The Brain. The Brain thought he was all clever and creative by naming the canine Tica. “It means BRAVERY in Spanish” he kept telling me, or some bullshit like that. So, as usual, I’ve been committed to some serious detective work to get to the bottom of this bullshit brain bravery thing.

You know what I found? The most embarrassing conclusion known to the animal kingdom:

TICA = The International Cat Association

Yeah, that’s right Brain…you kinda fucked this one up. You should be ashamed and I think you owe a lot of people an apology, especially the damn dog. It’s not like you to pull this kind of shenanigans.

I want an explanation NOW!!!

I’ll slip the rent under your door tomorrow, sorry for being late again.

PEACE – sbs

  • The image is so ambiguous, I’m fascinated by it – trying to make sense of what I am looking at.
Makes you think – is what we see, what we are looking at? :)

A couple of things need to come to light here. 1) Tica is still the best fucking dog ever, regardless of semantic arguments about the true meaning of her name. 2) Tica (and I) fucking hates cats, and perhaps that is why an unintended meaning of her name revolves around people that love cats; because she does not want people to think that her name has anything to do with liking cats, so she tries to kill them. 3) The name “Tica” is a colloquial phrase derived from the even more colloquial phrase “chiquitico.” Now don’t go fucking check this shit out on Wikipedia, because you won’t find this morsel of fucking information, because reality has nothing to do with facts, and especially with Wikipedia. In Cost Rica, the women there are referred to as “ticas,” and the dudes are called “ticos.” Since I purchased Tica (who happened to be a female) when I returned from Costa Rica, I named her accordingly. Hence, her name has absolutely nothing to do with cats, and I still can’t stand the little fuckers. 4) Don’t worry about rent.

In conclusion, I don’t owe anybody an apology…in fact, I think I am more proud than ever for my cat killing dog and the irony surrounding her name.

P.S. Tica shit on your floor yesterday
